Using VizLearn

VizLearn provides interactive, visually-driven lessons for software engineering topics including algorithms, data structures, artificial intelligence, and computer science systems. You may use the service for personal learning, teaching, and evaluation purposes.

Lesson features vary by topic. A lesson may include an animation, synchronized code and logs, a quiz, configurable inputs, presets, written explanations, sharing, embedding, or export tools. The pricing page describes the current differences between Free and Lifetime access.

Some features — such as buying Lifetime and syncing your lesson progress across devices — require authentication through a Google or GitHub account via Supabase Auth. By signing in, you authorize us to receive the basic profile information needed to maintain your session.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of your authentication provider credentials. VizLearn does not store passwords — authentication is delegated entirely to Google or GitHub.

Purchases & Billing

VizLearn offers a substantial Free catalog. An optional one-time Lifetime purchase unlocks every premium lesson available at the time of purchase, future premium lessons added to the same individual-learning catalog, video export without a watermark, and watermark-free PNG export. Video export requires a paid entitlement; sharing, embedding, watermarked PNG export, and written Explain documents remain available without a purchase.

The current promotional price, regular price, and included features are shown on the pricing page. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We never receive or store your full payment card details — they go directly to Stripe and are handled under its own terms and privacy policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use VizLearn in good faith and in compliance with all applicable laws. The following activities are expressly prohibited:

• Attempting to bypass authentication, rate limits, access controls, or any security measures.
• Scraping, mirroring, or systematically downloading content in a way that could degrade service availability.
• Using the service to distribute malicious code, spam, or unlawful material.
• Impersonating another user or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the service or its infrastructure.

Content & Intellectual Property

All content on VizLearn — including lesson designs, animations, source code, interface elements, text, graphics, and brand assets — is owned by VizLearn or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

VizLearn grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to access and use the service for personal learning, classroom teaching, presentations, and internal evaluation in accordance with these terms. A purchase grants access; it does not transfer ownership of the lessons or underlying assets.

You may share links and embeds created by the service, and you may use PNG or video exports produced by VizLearn's built-in export tools in your own teaching materials, presentations, portfolio, or commentary. You may not sell the exports as standalone assets, place a substantially complete copy of the premium catalog behind your own paywall, remove a watermark without the paid entitlement, or present VizLearn content as your own. You also may not copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, or redistribute VizLearn content to create a competing product or service without prior written permission.

VizLearn expressly reserves all text and data mining rights. You may not use VizLearn content to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop machine-learning or AI models without prior written permission. This reservation is also declared in machine-readable form through our robots.txt content signals and TDM reservation headers.

If you believe content on VizLearn infringes your copyright, or you discover VizLearn content republished elsewhere without permission, report it to [email protected] with the relevant URLs and we will investigate promptly.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant VizLearn a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use them for the purpose of improving the service.

Service Changes & Availability

We may add, revise, replace, or remove lessons and features as the curriculum and service evolves.

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. While we strive for reliability, we do not guarantee that VizLearn will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

VizLearn is an educational tool. It is not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, medical, or security advice. You use the service at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VizLearn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind — whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall VizLearn, its creators, or its licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have materially or repeatedly violated these terms, created a security or legal risk, abused the service, or used it unlawfully. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. We may act immediately when necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.

Upon termination for a violation, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of VizLearn after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
